The term vinyasa means "to place with intention". In a vinyasa style class, we aim to mindfully move our bodies at the pace of the breath. This class is an introduction to the vinyasa style and will incorporate fundamental yoga postures into the sun salutation, moving at a slow, steady pace to get used to the flow. Expect a strong emphasis on developing a steady breath and to move continuously, with brief holds in postures. Familiarity with basic yoga postures is highly recommended, but no experience with vinyasa yoga is necessary. All Levels.

Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga introduced in the 15th century in India. Hatha aims to achieve balance between body and mind, as well as freeing the more subtle spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses. Classes contain slow-paced stretching with some simple breathing exercises and seated meditation. This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga. All Levels.

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to more dynamic and active yoga styles. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deeper layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. The emphasis is stillness and silence. The practice prepares both the body and mind for deeper experiences in meditation. All Levels.
For our Flow class - anything really goes! Lose yourself in this vinyasa-based practice by zeroing in on the breath and deepening the connection to your body.

Restorative yoga is not to be mistaken with yin yoga. Where as yin is a modality used to get deep into the fascia and connective tissues, restorative yoga is a way to totally relax, release and invite in calm, nurturing energy. Prepare to release stress and leave feeling like butter.
Y I N - Y A S A
Yin-Yasa is a lovely practice to balance the yin and yang energies in your body, as well as the physical yin and yang within your body! Yin yoga will focus on deeper fascial tissue and your joints, whereas the yang yoga (vinyasa) will create fluidity in your muscles.
